A Joyful Gathering of the MAG+S Family

En Todo Amar y Servir

On December 8, 2025, the MAG+S Timor-Leste community—together with the broader MAG+S family—came together in a spirit of joy and gratitude at the Loyola Multifunction Hall, Colégio Santo Inácio de Loyola-Kasait, Liquiça. This warm and vibrant gathering brought together community members, apostolic units, families, friends, and especially our MAG+Ser youth, whose energy filled the celebration with life and hope.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our young people, who began this annual tradition years ago. Their dedication continues to nurture meaningful relationships within the MAG+S family and beyond. This event has become an important moment for introducing the MAG+S environment and Ignatian Spirituality Formation Program to families and supporters, strengthening the foundation of our shared mission.

In true Ignatian spirit, the day opened with the celebration of Mass presided over by Fr. Júlio Sousa, SJ, the first coordinator of MAG+S Timor-Leste and currently the Socius of the East Timor Region and Director of Jesuit Social Service. His presence and words set a reflective tone for the gathering.

Throughout the day, MAG+Ser youth, their families, and Jesuit companions enjoyed heartfelt conversations—sharing stories, renewing connections, and deepening relationships. These moments reminded us of the importance of keeping Christ at the center of our community life and mission.

A highlight of the event was the announcement from Fr. Herculano Moniz, SJ, current coordinator of MAG+S Timor-Leste, sharing the newly developed structure that will guide MAG+S into its next phase of growth and service.

In addition Fr. Isaías Abilio Caldas, SJ who often accompanied MAG+Ser retreats this year, gave his testimony on how he witnessed the transformation that took place in the lives of MAG+S members after their experiences of Ignatian Spirituality as part of their daily lives.
